Dr. Curnew runs a multifaceted Cardiology Clinic in Hamilton, Ontario.

Dr. Curnew’s clinic is equipped to provide the highest-quality, evidence-based care to all of his patients. Our clinic services a variety of diagnostic testing which include ECG, stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter placements to inform patient-centered prevention and treatment. In addition to in-person clinic visits, Dr. Curnew provides virtual patient phone calls with regular, supportive health check-ins.

Our clinic also offers a variety of extracurricular resources for patients. Our focus groups are designed to help patients identify and achieve their individual health goals. Our YouTube page and wellness book is also curated to inform and motivate patients and their families.

Overall, the goal of the clinic is to provide patients with the best possible care. We extend our efforts beyond in-clinic care, leveraging a variety of unique resources to enhance patient knowledge and self-belief!

Dr. Curnew received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

He was also an Associate Clinical Professor within Internal Medicine and Cardiology at McMaster University located in Hamilton, ON.

Extracurricular Activity

He is also an active member and former Director of the McMaster University Lipid Research Clinic. Furthermore, Dr. Curnew is a past medical adviser to the Hamilton-Wentworth Chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Finally, he is a former editor of Issues in Lipidology and the Canadian Journal of Obesity (among others).

Passions and Interests

Dr. Curnew’s interests include research in risk factor modification for people with established heart disease, and comparison studies regarding cholesterol-lowering medications. He is also passionate about lifestyle and dietary changes that aid in improving health and wellbeing.
